Enrique Crespo hat sich lange Zeit mit dem deutschen Liedgut auseinander gesetzt, da er ein großer Fan dieses Genres ist.  Als im Jahre 1986 für die German Brass Aufnahme der EMI CD "Around the world" ein deutscher Beitrag fehlte, kam er auf diese wunderschöne Komposition, die er als Hommage an das deutsche Liedgut mit dem Titel „Ein deutsches Lied“ versah.

Dieses wunderschöne Stück ist auf der CD "Around the world I" enthalten.
